The formal, legal Name of the club : Korean Road Runners Club, Inc
The origins of the club go back to the year 2004.
The club has been based on the principle of pure sportsmanship for amateur runners.
The club filed as a Non-Profit Organization called the “Korean Road Runners Club, Inc" in 2015 for a fresh new start.
The purpose of the club is to maintain and strengthen the physical and mental by training together as runners.
Most of the members are already accomplished runners who have completed full marathons - some of them have completed more than 50, and even 100, runs.
The main training spot is Central park, starting at the gate at 91st street and 5th Avenue.
The members get together every Sunday at 7 o’clock in the morning and run the circle based on their personal schedules and training regimens: 4, 5, 6 12, or even 20 miles.
During the week, members meet every Wednesday at the Hudson Riverside Bike Path, (NJ Members) and Bethpage Park at Long Island (NYC and LI members)
We filed our Assumed name as “K Runners” in 2018 and have used the name as a club’s formal name since then.
We host the The 1st Korean American Friendship Marathon be held on Sep. 16, 2018 at Hawley, PA .. Boston Qualified beautiful course.
The club helps members maintain the spirit of the Marathon and the traditions of the club.
Anybody with interest in running Half and/or Full Marathons is welcome to join the club!
